Fun little things

I got an RC Kei truck for Christmas. I got it in RWD, and got some custom little wheels and drift slicks. The new wheels rub on the front control arms so I gotta get a bigger spacer or shave the inside of them. So the original wheels and tires are back on it for now. It's fun. The headlights turn on and it can carry stuff. I put some old Hardcopy Collectible stickers on it. The real trucks are ten grand so the fifty dollar toy version will have to do.
The kids had a good Christmas. Nothing crazy this year, mostly little toys, clothes, and stuff they needed. Will see who wakes up in the morning with a stomach ache from eating too much candy.
After the kids went to bed last night we watched the finale of Pluribus. Apparently people don't like it after the first few episodes because instead of being non stop action they slow down and focus on character development, mood, setting, etc. so when one character does something crazy it's not sudden or out of nowhere. If you listen to audiobooks/podcasts at 2x speed or have a 30 second clip attention span this show is not for you. It's not slow. It's not boring. The pacing is deliberate. Folks act like they are being forced to watch Jeanne Dielman, 23 quai du Commerce, 1080 Bruxelles or something. The first person to get disconnected from the hivemind is going to go absolutely insane and I'm so excited to watch the next season in five years or however long it takes them to make 8 episodes of anything these days.
Anyway, I'm going to bed before midnight for once. Tomorrow I'm going to make food and play a game I got called Keep Driving. Let's see if the old steam deck can handle it.
