First drawing of the year
My youngest son wanted to refresh his gaming youtube channel with a new name and logo. His current one is something he whipped up in canva a year ago. He used to change it often. I had made him a logo and such when he had his Tornado themed gaming channel but he and a buddy were running around with usernames "Burgers" and "Fries" and every account he makes uses a different name.
Cut to now he is older and on the esports team at school and wants to have a proper nice looking channel. Mom to the rescue! lol. He still likes weather and tornadoes (and wants to go into meteorology in college) so we brainstormed some concepts and came up with something he is going to go live with on Friday.
You might get the idea of what it is from the photo but I'll share the final version later after I've run it through photoshop.
Something is up the light sensor on my phone because when I would lower the brightness it would put a massive shadow across the screen. So unfortunately the pencil drawing is a tad washed out but you can tell it's there.
Here it is after inking the thing. I started with my Deleter manga ink and dip pen but this stupid bristol paper decided it wanted to turn to mush under it and wedge fibers into the nib so I had to switch to pigment liners instead. Only the umbrella got a little out of hand due to it but I can adjust it in photoshop.
I left some areas blank for the channel logo and stuff that I'll add on the jacket and hat later. I also managed to do the dumb thing and got ink on the side of my hand which you can see stamped in the bottom left corner. Photoshop to the rescue again lol.
But I do need to draw more. I am getting rusty.
